The BVMW is the largest voluntarily organized business association for the German
SME. He represents small and medium-sized companies and their interests. Within the framework of an alliance of associations, it represents the common economic, social and socio-political interests of 32 employer and trade associations with more than 900,000 entrepreneurial votes. The BVMW has over 300 offices throughout Germany, linking medium-sized companies with more than 800,000 direct contacts each year. The BVMW is supported by a political advisory board of outstanding political personalities and acts as a partner and critic of politics. With over 2,000 annual events for entrepreneurs, the BVMW forms a strong network platform.
In his function as press spokesman and political representative for Bavaria, Achim von Michel has been representing the BVMW since 2007 towards media representatives as well as local and state politicians. His tasks include the coordination and implementation of all press work, the organization of political events on a cross-party basis as well as active lobbying as political consultant in Munich for the interests of German medium-sized businesses.
