Around 15,000 participants attended the 25th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2024) at the Munich Exhibition Center starting on July 22. AIDS 2024 brought together thousands of people living with, affected by, and working on HIV to share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned from the HIV response over the past 40 years and from health threats such as COVID-19 and MPOX. UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, presented its annual Global Report to international press representatives. WORDUP PR was commissioned by the Geneva-based organization to prepare and coordinate the hybrid press conference in Munich. In addition, the WORDUP PR team supported UNAIDS’ communications experts with press support before, during, and after the press conference.
Following previous, successfully completed projects for the German Federal Government and the European Patent Office, the United Nations was the third major government or supranational client that was significantly supported by WORDUP PR. In the planning and implementation of this flagship event, many years of experience in technically demanding and at the same time high-quality, hybrid formats were particularly beneficial.
