Season’s Greetings

2020 was a year full of challenges – we will certainly remember it for a long time. At the end of this year we would like to thank our customers and all business partners in particular for their loyalty, trust and good cooperation.

This year, and especially in recent weeks, we have all heard frequently that special times require special measures. Some work from their home office, have extended company holidays or reduce the remaining vacation days. Therefore, for the first time in over 20 years, we are not using printed UNICEF Christmas cards and instead donate directly to the Munich Outpatient Children’s Hospice Foundation.

The independent outpatient children’s hospice service started in autumn 2004 under the direction of Christine Bronner. Together with her husband Florian, she founded the “Ambulantes Kinderhospiz München – AKM” foundation six months later as the responsible body. Since then, the hospice has been committed to families with seriously or terminally ill children and offers comprehensive professional support, which ranges from child hospice work to advising relatives. The focus is on inclusion, social participation and safeguarding the child’s well-being. Since every family situation is different, the form of support can be adapted to the individual needs of the family concerned. If necessary, the professional support is extended to the social environment, such as school or work place. A highly qualified team consisting of doctors, psychologists, social pedagogues, midwives, therapists, nurses and specially trained volunteers is available for this. With their labor and generous donors, a Bavaria-wide advisory and care center for crisis intervention and outpatient aftercare for affected families has been established over the years. With the aim of shortening the ways for those affected and ensuring direct help on site, three more centers have been set up in more rural regions since 2016.
