Tomorrow’s economy: The beyond economy festival

On September 17, 2024 from 1 p.m., the beyond economy festival will take place for the first time in the Muffatwerke Munich and invites companies, start-ups, investors and experts to jointly and symbiotically shape the economy of tomorrow.

The festival marks the departure towards a digital and sustainable economy and creates space for knowledge exchange, networking and the start of joint development projects. It is the start of the beyond economy movement, a platform that aims to unite leading players from various sectors of the economy, the environmental and sustainability scene and politics. In view of the acute global challenges such as climate change, energy transformation and social injustice, holistic solutions are increasingly needed. The festival offers participants the opportunity to find space, inspiration and partners for their own transformation.

The aim is to support companies and organizations in their transformation in the following areas, among others:

Business ecosystems
Circular economy
Digital and sustainable transformation
The Federal Government’s “Entrepreneurship for the common good” program
Climate neutrality / CO2 footprint – regulatory issues
Shortage of skilled workers

The festival is being run by the start-up Sym – an ecosystem development & operations company that is committed to promoting small and medium-sized companies. With the Symworking Ecosystem, Sym connects companies and promotes symbiotic cooperation via a marketplace and the exchange of knowledge and resources via the community, supported by AI. The focus is not only on financial success, but above all on the goal of securing long-term independence, social justice, security and diversity in regional corporate landscapes. Michael Schwienbacher, co-founder and ecosystem architect of Sym, will explain in detail at the festival how medium-sized companies can survive in the age of Amazon & Co. and develop positively towards an beyond economy.

In August, WORDUP PR was commissioned by Sym to handle press and public relations work for beyond economy. The agency combines its deep roots in the German business press landscape with solid know-how on environmental and climate issues, which was acquired, among other things, at the Munich Climate School 2023 at Ludwig Maximilian University.
